Thank you for visiting Sapphire and Sage!

We create all jewelry and feather accessories to order, tailor-making each piece to your unique specifications. Most orders are filled within 3-4 weeks' of payment received, but it may take up to 6-8 weeks from spring through early fall, which is our busy season.

Each piece we design is done to create a genuinely period look - we take great pride in being one of the few Medieval-Era and Renaissance-Era jewelry designers doing affordable, high-quality replications of pieces found in period portraits.

A word from your JEWELRY DESIGNER

I've left no stone unturned in my extensive search for materials that will give you the durability, quality, and authenticity that you deserve, while keeping the cost to my clients in check. I understand that not everyone can afford to purchase pieces made solely from Swarovski crystal and solid cast precious metals, so I offer items made from a wide variety of materials to fit all budgets. You'll get the elegant, enchanting, and authentic look you want at a price that isn't equivalent to a King's ransom.

I use only the finest imported glass pearls and glass beads in my jewelry pieces. My wires and jump rings are the sturdiest I have found over many years of product testing, and are hand-formed into jewelry pieces with the utmost care. My acrylic domed cabochons have the rich colors and high polish of glass stones, without the excessive high cost and heaviness, which can ultimately damage your jewelry's wire links and rings over time. I strive to provide my clients with the highest level of quality and long-term durability for your accessories. I am confident that you will be pleased with what you receive from me and will have jewelry that will not only stand the test of time and wear, but that you'll feel is worth every penny...and then some!

While I like to offer some of my own unique designs, I am also concerned with historical accuracy and enjoy replicating pieces seen in period portraits, and sometimes films as well. Over the course of the last 6 years, I have had the opportunity to work with great clients, many of whom you'll see on my Client Testimonial page . My work has appeared on countless Renaissance faire kings, queens, nobles, and patrons alike. My pieces have been displayed in the pages of Renaissance Magazine, at Costuming Symposiums and Sci-fi Conventions worldwide, and on elaborately-dressed New Orleans Mardi Gras crewe royalty. In 2007, I worked with Showtime Network in conjunction with the Style Channel on a project to promote their "The Tudors" series. In 2008, I had the pleasure of working with The Lost Colony of Roanoake's costuming department in replenishing their costume wardrobe after the fire that devastated their storehouses. I have worked with ABC TV's "One Life to Live", Universal Studios/Spyglass Entertainment's motion feature film, "Wanted", starring Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, and James McAvoy, and Sony Pictures's "Angels and Demons", starring Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor.
Other wonderful high-profile clients include Ray Irving (England's Royally-appointed Official King Henry VIII Impersonator), many NYC-based advertising agencies, and several professional and collegiate theatrical departments. Wedding parties, history teachers, madrigal singers, photographers, beauty pageant contestants, and reenactors from all eras...I've worked with them, as well. I've even done a bit of consulting for the Chicago Muesuem of Art. And, of course, I have many clients who return to me annually, sometime checking in during the off-season just to say hello. Every day is a new adventure for me, and I can't imagine doing anything more fun or rewarding as a way of making a living!

I am always open to trying my hand at creating something new, so if you have a sketch or portrait that you would like to have replicated, please feel free to contact me with your needs - I love a good challenge! :)
